It's Traditional Week at long long last. This time last year I was a newbie and had no idea and therefore did not participate. Not so, this time. Traditional week for all those who haven't heard yet is a week long celebration of traditional art. There are contests, news articles, a trivia night, and lots of celebrations going on. I was given official cheer leading pompoms by `sbaraci I have attached them to my bra and turned them into uber-tassels for the occasion. RA! RA! RA!

Ahem. Anyway, it would be awesome for everyone to get involved. Here are some ideas:

1. Create traditional art and let me know when you do...I'll feature you!
2. Join the Project Something New led by the where you get points for creating something outside of your comfort zone. For example, if you usually do digital art try some pencils. If you usually do pencils, try paint! Note =TheBigBadFish to join and start creating something new.
3. Join us for Trivia Night Tuesday and Thursday night 8 PM EST in the chatroom #dAtrad, there will be fun, prizes, trivia, and, of course, me...with my uber-tassels.
4. I'll be turning out an article or two probably tonight or a bit later. You can too, please read FAQ #687: What is news and what is not news?
if you've never submitted before, and make sure it's about Traditional Art.
5. You can cheerlead too! Talk it up in your journal!

Next Kiriban @ 10,000. It's a year long sub or a fella plushie.

How to help?

Easy! Suggest a Daily Deviation, report violations or misplaced deviations (Hey, even I've accidentally posted to the wrong gallery! Eagle-eye Aida called me on in it in seconds....wooooo baby!) Or donate prizes to the many contests going on! And participate in them too. Or, hell, just don't participate in any drama you see going on.

I love DA, it makes me happy, if it does the same for you, and you've got a moment, help make our community better by doing a little something for your DA community once a week! Most of the things I've listed take no more than a minute or two to do. Even reporting one misplaced deviation a week makes a big difference.
