It's new. It's newy new. It's the newest new that ever newed a nude.
These are works done by other deviants as part of Project Disability. Project Disability is a challenge to you, all of you, to do artwork with your other hand, blindfolded, or both. For a moment, try to consider what it would be like to suffer a catastrophic injury (as it might be to an artist) to lose either your vision or use of your preferred limb. You can even go further and imagine the loss of both limbs and try creating art with your teeth or your toes. I'm sure you will find as I did that: we evolve, we adapt and in a strange way, as frustrating and discouraging as it is, it helps us to come to terms with loss and the surprising font of ability and strength that comes from coping with that loss. If you choose to participate, please note me with a thumb and link of your deviation and it will be featured.
Ink. Permanency, irreversibility. thinking before you create or the alternative: letting mistakes become a part of the process. Ink represents life to me. Every second, every breath comes and goes with no opportunity to change what has already occurred. It can influence what will come, but it will not change what has come and gone or what is this very moment. There is a great beauty in experiencing what exists now, accepting what is already drying on the paper and discovering what is about to be created in the next breath. Time means nothing to ink. You exist now for this moment. Make it count.
