The first scratchboard ever for me. Didn't scan quite right. I got through it as well as I could. I'm overwhelmingly depressed today. The scratching and scraping was really therapeutic. I felt like I could take it out on the board. Anyway, I saw this old gal in my mind today and I figured...I'm beyond stressed, I'm beyond tired, I'm in pain, and I still have to do something traditional for traditional week. Old gal...let's go, you and me, you've got one hour before this hand goes and takes the rest of me with it. She reminds me of my mentor who I love dearly and who is terminal right now.

And I think that you're being too hard on your work again. It's a good piece, and for it being an 'experiment in a new medium' it's a great piece. I'm psyched to see what else you might scratch out.
And we could never stop loving you! The other day, we were talking about you, and after a moment Aida says "Wow.. She's kind of perfect for you, isn't she?" For a minute, terror struck me--I thought paranoid jealousy was coming. Then she followed it up with "It's like.. Insert best-friend here." and I couldn't agree more. Just for the record (and I hope that your boyfriend doesn't mind me saying this), we half-consider you our 'Other Girlfriend'.
