I think some of the people here have said most of what I planned on typing, but I'll try not and repeat them.
This blew me away the first time I saw it, as a thumbnail in my dev-watch folder. There's a sort of controlled chaos to your artwork, and a tightly caged movement to it, as well. This is apparent in most of your inkwork, but I don't think I've seen it so well exhibited as it is in this piece.
Moreover, the level of detail, and the emotion on the chimera's face, is simply extraordinary. He strikes me as a tragic monster, freshly realized from a dream -which, considering you used your left hand for this, I can see why he looks that way.
Once again, great work, 1pen. You continue to set the bar for all the traditional artists on here.

"I think you got me confused for a better man."
I'll have to echo ~kell909, you're constantly inspiring me. Through your art, attitude, experiences... a younger person like me can learn by following you. And I thank you for that.
And on the picture, I find that it looks like some other drawings from you in thumbnail form; it's only when you look at the full view do you realize that there's a level of neatness missing from it. When you read that it's done with your "other" hand, complications and all, well... that's just amazing. Neatness be damned, it's still a 1Pen picture that's utterly astounding with its detail. Even though it's your "dominant" hand by birth, with the amount of pain you must endure just to keep it working, it's amazing that you can pull something of this scale off. Great job, as always.
You constantly amaze me also, and inspire me, with your art and your attitude towards life.
I'm like "Katmomma" - I cant hardly write my name with my left hand, let alone a piece of art like this with so much detail and expression. It's wonderful!

To help inspire you this month, #project-improve and #ProjectComment have joined creative and collaborative forces to bring you 'An Image Is Worth A Thousand Words' Contest.
The theme of this contest is pretty much as the title states; we would like you to draw on inspiration for a piece of literature that coincides with an image of your choice. The extent of the involvement of the image is entirely up to you.
Both visual artists and writers can take part, so please read the article to find out more!

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
