Golden Goalie

So for the April Appreciation month being held by #deviantHEART, we're supposed to upload something we appreciate in our lives every day for the month of April.

My appreciation for the day? A Golden Goalie.

I haven't uploaded one from the Black series in a long while. Engy was one of the Golden Goalies for the league's fantasy team this past season and here he is in the commemorative jersey. Had to do special shot of it. There was no way he was leaving the building that night until I did.

Everybody loves a goalie, but to a hockey photographer they are comrades in the corner. I often shoot corner and over a season, goalies and the photographers who share that end of the rink with them...well, bond, you might say.
